What happens if I exceed the weight limit?
Overweight charges are $125 per ton on over the included allowance. We’ll discuss this possibility based on your project type. Most household cleanouts stay within limits; construction debris often runs heavy.
How high can I fill the dumpster?
Overfilled dumpsters cannot be legally transported, and any items sticking out over the sides will be removed before pickup with a additional fees applied to your account. To avoid extra charges and pickup delays, keep all materials level with the top edge and fill the dumpster evenly – this ensures safe, legal transport and keeps your project on schedule and on budget.
How do I prepare for delivery?
Clear the delivery area of all vehicles and obstacles before our arrival. Measure your space to ensure adequate room for the dumpster plus an additional 10 feet for truck maneuvering.
To protect your driveway from potential damage, consider placing plywood under the dumpster, and mark any sprinkler heads with flags so our driver can avoid them. Make sure the delivery location can support the weight of our truck and equipment, and be aware that we cannot be responsible for damage to driveways, lawns, or underground systems during delivery and pickup.

Can I put concrete or dirt in the dumpster?
Yes, you can put concrete and dirt in the dumpster, but strict weight limits apply. Concrete, dirt, fill, and topsoil are extremely heavy materials – for example, a 10-yard dumpster filled with concrete will exceed our weight limits. When disposing of these heavy materials, only fill the dumpster 1/3 full to stay within the 2-ton (4,000 pound) weight allowance. If you exceed this limit, you’ll be charged an additional disposal fee of $125 per ton over the limit, so proper loading is essential to avoid unexpected costs.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
Standard rental includes 7 days. Need more time? No problem – additional days are just $40 each on all dumpster rental sizes. Many customers find 7 days perfect for weekend projects. Just let us know if you need an extension.
When will my dumpster be delivered?
We offer same-day and next-day delivery throughout Sacramento. Morning delivery (7 AM – 12 PM) or afternoon (12 PM – 5 PM) windows available. Our driver will call 30 minutes before arrival.

Rich and his assistant came and removed a very large and heavy armoire that was in my master bedroom. I wasn’t even sure they could get it out , but not only did they do it, they managed to get it out quickly and quietly so as not to disturb my wife who was resting from an illness. I 100% recommend this company.
We had a great initial call with Rich and after hearing what we wanted removed, he gave us a really great price and arranged a convenient pickup appointment window that worked for our schedule. On the pickup day, Christian called and gave us an hour lead time which turned out to be 15 minutes before our scheduled window (which was fine with us). When they arrived, he looked over the job, and he and Don quickly went to work and were done in just about half an hour. They even took a couple small items (a rug mat and two concrete blocks) with no additional charge. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Totally professional, we had a great experience from beginning to end. This company is top notch and we recommend them highly for the removal of any unwanted items. Amazing service: on time, quick and efficient! So courteous, I was at ease with and during the service. They went above an beyond what I called them for (spa removal). Without me asking, they removed 4 metal spikes (3 ft long) used to hold fencing post. I had placed planters in front of the spikes so no one would trip over them. I actually teared when I saw the spikes removed. I had no idea how I was going to get those 3 feet in the ground spikes removed. Rich said it was a safety issue and had his crew remove them! Rich's Junk Hauling service is reliable, responsive, and reasonably priced. Whenever I've called them, they've been available within 24 hours. We've used them twice. On the second occasion, we had a scary situation with a scavenger who tried to prevent them from taking our pickup. Rich was able to take handle the situation in a firm but professional manor and made sure that our pickup was taken care of, leaving nothing behind. They even swept the sidewalk when finished.
